Foster Care Application & Agreement

We rescue mini and standard schnauzers who need homes.

Note: We do not allow families to foster who have children under the age of 9, as children can be unpredictable and the dog(s) might become agitated.

If you prefer to mail in this information, you can print a copy of our foster care form (pdf file).

You can also email the pdf file to us. Print or save to a file on your computer and email it to us.
On a Mac: Any file you can print, you can save as a PDF file. So save PDF to your Mac and then email it to us. On a PC: As you move your mouse cursor over the PDF document, a small toolbar should appear with a computer diskette on it to save the PDF to a file. Or look under the File menu for a "Save as" or "Save page as" option. Then save PDF to a file. Email the file to us.

Thank you!

I volunteer to care for any Schnauzer placed in my care until a suitable home can be found. I agree to abide by the terms of the adoption agreement which has been provided for my information in regards to the manner in which the dog will be cared for. To be eligible for reimbursement, expenses incurred on behalf any dog while in my care, must be preauthorized by a Miniature Schnauzer Rescue (MSR) member. Under no circumstances may the dog be sold, traded or released to any other person or shelter unless authorized by MSR.

I understand that although MSR has determined the temperament of the dog in question to be sound, MSR does not warrant such, and cannot be held liable for acts committed by the dog while in my care.

I agree that should I choose to adopt a dog in my care, I will immediately notify a board member of my intention. I understand that adoptions by foster volunteers require board approval. I agree to reimburse MSR for any expenses incurred on behalf of the dog up to the standard adoption fees. If none are incurred, I agree the standard adoption fees apply.

By submitting this application, I certify that all of the information I have provided is true and complete to the best of my knowledge.

We reserve the right to refuse any applicant. Thank you for taking the time to complete this Foster Application which helps us to make the best possible placement for all concerned.
