Maggie came to live with us in October 2010. She was suffering from liver disease, and we knew she probably didn't have long to live, but we wanted to see her through her final months.

We put her on some basic liver support medication, and gave her lots of love and walks. And Maggie responded! She stayed with us for 18 months, and brought us a lot of joy. She enjoyed her twice daily walks and couldn't wait to get to the gate.

She came to trust us, and would scamper around in joy when we came home, and once in a while would roll over and let us scratch her distended belly. Sometimes she would sit near us and just quietly lick our hand.

What a sweet girl she was! We will miss her!
