Annika and PooBee's Happy Tail....
Someone was watching over these little girls
"Annika & PooBee" are 6-year-old siblings, brought to a Vet Clinic in Oregon in September, by their owner, to be euthanized. The woman had recently lost a family member, and the girls were just "too much of a bother" for her to deal with. She felt that having them put down would be easiest for her.
The vet tech was horrified, as was a waiting client, who had a sister working in Afghan Rescue. Within minutes they had convinced the lady to release the girls to "Afghan Lady." The girls stayed in Afghan Rescue for several days until a Miniature Schnauzer Rescue foster family was available to take them. In the meantime, the girls were bathed, groomed, and beautifully cared for. Turned out they were litter mates, and had been together their entire lives. They are deeply attached to each other, and curl up tightly together when frightened. Even just walking them separately caused them stress. They needed a home where they could stay together.

It is a little harder to place two little ones, and it took time . . . not a problem for their foster Mama. The girls did very well with her Miniature Schnauzer, Nicky, and he taught them very quickly how to use the doggie door.
Schnauzer Rescue was contacted late this fall by Jay and Julie . . . they were interested in adopting a Miniature Schnauzer. Jay happened to ask if there was any possibility that they could adopt two?? How quickly can an application be filled out? As it turns out . . . very quickly!!!
Annika and PooBee . . .
Jay and Julie continue Annika and PooBee's story: "Sorry we didn't get back to you sooner. We were preoccupied with the girls and didn't have much time to email! We are in love with them and they seem to like their new yard to explore. The green love seat is their own couch and PooBee seemed to understand right away that it is hers. Annika wants to be with us always so we chat all the time. It is so nice to have their warm furry bodies in the house, and want you to know we are thankful you entrusted their care to us. We will take good care of the girls!"

. . . enjoy their own couch!
