Heidi's Happy Tail....
A Cinderella Story
Heidi's original owner, an elderly person in Idaho, passed away - and Heidi was taken in by a couple in Oregon with dog rescue experience. The couple divorced, and the man ended up with Heidi. He was very attached to Heidi, but he shared a house, and she was left in his bedroom, with food and water, for 8 to 10 hours a day. After realizing that the life he could provide wasn't the best for her, he released her to Miniature Schnauzer Rescue.
Heidi came into rescue looking like a tubby little upside down dust mop - hair from one end to the other. A serious haircut turned Miss Dust Mop into a beautiful little Cinderella. She had her teeth cleaned; a diet plan put in place, and spent several weeks romping with her foster brother, Louie.
The "little dust mop" pre transformation!
Life for sweet little Heidi Girl really has turned into a Cinderella story. Don and Jean are taking very good care of her. They had a dog trainer come in and help them with Heidi's transition to her new home.
This little one has people with her all day . . . she is loved and safe. Don says Heidi "is the sweetest dog he has ever had." He has fallen head over heels for her, and has a lap ready for her at naptime.
Heidi loves people!
