Oliver's Happy Tail....

An eager to please little boy

Oliver Meet adorable little 1-1/2 year old Oliver!! He was originally owned by an elderly couple who did not have the ability to train him. He was adopted by another family, but after three weeks, they decided he was too much for them to handle. The "little terror" spent a lot of time in the backyard. Some Schnauzer puppies are fairly calm and laid back - but many can be "wicked little wild things" for their first couple of years.

Oliver spent a bit of time in foster care - and turned out to actually be a friendly, personable, eager to please little boy. He was very smart, and simply had a lot to learn.

"Oliver's" third try for a home, and family of his own, turned out to be the charm. His new Mom sent the following update on the little wild one:

"May I just share that Oliver truly did play today, truly. I have a small block of felt with a brush of a tail attached to it that hangs from a four foot fish line and a short pole. Alright . . . it's a cat toy. But yesterday Oliver let loose for just a couple of seconds, chased it, jumped up on the bed, went careening down the hall, then back into his crate for safety. He really scared himself with that little bit of exuberance. And today, he actually, really, played with it, like a normal puppy. He is going to be playful for sure, about which I am really delighted. Playing with or watching a Schnauzer play is a joy . . . I'm thrilled! Thank you so much for placing Oliver with us!"

And we thank you, Susan, for giving one of our little wild ones the chance to be a puppy. With your help, he will become all he can be. The potential was always there!
